First Tee Northern Nevada is a not-for-profit organization located in Reno, Nevada that teaches young people ages 7-17 life skills including honesty, respect, confidence, and sportsmanship through the game of golf. 

First Tee Northern Nevada is embarking on a multi-million-dollar campaign to build a permanent home. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Campaign Manager to manage all aspects of a multi-million-dollar Capital Campaign, including all solicitation phases of the campaign, event planning, cultivation, and campaign publications/communications.

This role will be responsible for executing the campaign strategy, managing prospect lists, developing and executing targeted cultivation plans and solicitation strategies, preparing and providing support the Executive Director, board members and volunteers for solicitation, and planning and managing cultivation events. The Campaign Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and work closely with the campaign consultant and volunteer leaders.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

–     Work with the Executive Director to execute campaign strategy and set campaign sub-goals.

–     Provide leadership to assure that campaign communications and cultivation event activity plans are met.

–     Plan and run campaign committee meetings.

–     Oversee preparation of visits and solicitation meetings in collaboration with campaign committee or board members.

–     Assist in identification of prospects on the individual, corporation, and foundation levels and conduct initial prospect research.

–     Manage the grants process with the Executive Director and other volunteers.

–     Create and edit campaign communications, such as acknowledgments, follow-up letters, and newsletters.

–     Devise and manage logistics for cultivation events, coordinating publicity as appropriate, with Executive Director and campaign staff.

–      Manage all data for mailings, emails, invitations and recognition, including pulling lists,

cleaning data and communicating with vendors, staff and volunteers.

  • Create and manage campaign dashboard, including monthly update to monitor performance on goals toward the campaign milestones.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, self-start and seek out solutions as well as work independently and collaboratively on a team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

–     Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of development experience, preferably with a capital campaign, including management and oversight, events, communications, cultivation, solicitation, and grant writing

–      Excellent writing and editing skills

–      Ability to meet deadlines

–      Proven track record of success

–      Motivated, well organized, and a creative problem solver

–      Development database experience is preferred

  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational, communication/presentation and customer service skills
  • Keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit

Candidates must have an appreciation and understanding of First Tee Northern Nevada’s mission and vision. Connections in the local arts community are a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HOURS:

This is a full-time position with a standard Monday – Friday workweek, 8:00-5:00 pm. Occasional need for after hours and weekend work as related to events and other projects. Position will include local travel.

Compensation Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position, including some weekend and evening work. Competitive compensation package including medical, dental, life insurance, retirement and paid annual vacation.
